Bargain!

Popped into Homebase on Saturday morning and saw this trike planter in their garden section. As a trike rider I fell in love with it! It was the only one but didn't have a price on it so I asked when I went through the checkout. They thought the price was originally £19.99 but was reduced to £14.99 but offered to confirm that for me. After about 5-10 minutes searching on the compuer by three members of staff they still couldn't find a price or any listing of the item. As they were collecting small change for the Heart Foundation they said I could have it for £5 and the money could go into the collection. I was delighted to have a bargain and as an added bonus the money went to charity. How nice to find a business that is happy to bend the rules a little for a good cause.

That's a wonderful planter and a lovely story of Homebase allowing you to have the purchase for the charity donation. Well done.
I guess you didn't need to pedal home on it. Lol :o)
Looking forward to seeing it full of flowers.
What ideas do you have for plants to go in it ?

Great bargain, and a great looking and novel little planter. What will you plant in it? Will you do a seasonal rotation of whatever is blooming ?
