Our New Front Garden
Pictures by david
Across the road is a grassy area with mature chestnut trees. I'm currently stringing up more "conkers" for the kids than chillis for the kitchen.

Conkers are horse-chestnuts. (The shiny, brown, nut-like seeds from the tree).
Look on Lori's photos and you'll see a picture of 36 conkers.
My Sheltie's name is Conker. ! :o)

Thanks, TT, for explaining. Just to the left of this pic is an entrance to the town park, so we are well-placed for bike rides, etc, too.

Hey, David. Dumb question but consider this an educational one for me, okay? I live in Arizona. What is a "conker"?
