Salvia Hotlips ......... changed colour

Never seen a white shrubby Salvia before! Its nice.

Amy, I have read that the colour can vary with the temperature. Sometimes turns all red or all white, how odd!

A very versatile plant Amy!! will watch ours with interest...

Amy, imagine if all flowers did that! We would have a terrible time trying to create a colour themed border ... :o)

Our Hesperantha has done the same thing.....

...and what a beautiful change! you can call it a highlight... even if the theme was red.

I like Hot Lips best when it's pure white.

How strange, well, my Salvia Hot Trumpets is still very red, lol.

It's kept a tinge of red on the rim . . very pretty!

My 3 plants always change colour during the season. Now they are white with a bit of red.

My neighbour's 'Hot lips' is also white this year too..just the odd flower with a tiny bit of red..I would love to know the reason why,Amy...do you know why this happens ?
