About me

Hi everyone! Karen here..starting a new garden with a new account. My old account was karensusan63 if you want to see my old garden.

Hopefully, this will be the last...or last but one garden I create. It's only the third. My first was a small garden 1 mile from the city centre. My second is a medium sized garden in a small town housing estate. The third will be larger and rural. That's definitely progress in my book!

This garden is in a very windy exposed site, with beautiful uninterrupted views of the Angus farmland around us. A hill to the south, but not high enough to block the lw winter sun. Hills to the north as well, but not high enough to shelter us from the cold winds. We are 122m above sea level, 2miles from the beach at Monifieth.

My gardening style is cottagey woodland. I like lots of structure and colour all year around. I love small trees, flowering shrubs, roses, sedums, Primulas, hellebores, Hostas, Heucheras and clematis, and anything that gives winter interest, as our winter lasts for 6 months (though it is relatively mild).
