That was ME Buzzbee, and I added the comment about hard pruning to let you know that mine was OK! Glad yours is too. I shall have a go at my 'Goldflame' next year, as well.

That's a relief - I took someone else's advice to prune our S j 'Anthony Waterer' hard - can't recall who - but it has grown back well and looks ready to give us blooms soon - suggesting that sometimes in gardening you really have to do some drastic stuff to make good things happen, but that doesn't stop it being scary when you do it for the first time.
