Just took this piccy this morning - I hadn't realised that I had such a purple theme going on at this time of year! Achieved with Aubretia, Aquilegia, Alliums, Heuchera and in a couple of weeks I should have some lovely big bearded irises in shades of blue and purple.....can't wait..... :-)

My parents always say that spring is the yellow time. I guess now is the pinky-purple time?!

Your garden looks gorgeous Sarah, we are having a very rainy day today so it is nice to see all that sunshine.

Love your greenhouse. my front garden has just finished the primary colour wave...red tulips, blue muscari...yellow daphs...now it's into the pastel pinks and mauves...rock cress, geranium, heuchera...I'm a foliage nut too...if it has interesting leaves I want it!...lol

I've just had a good old tidy up around the greenhouse, so will post a better pic of it shortly :-)
This photo is of species Aquilegia 'McKenna Hybrids'.
See who else has plants in genus Aquilegia.

My garden seems to go in colour phases too. It's been a lot of blue recently. Some of my big Irises are out and finishing but there's other types coming.
