Mine are very partial to an east window...but they also do well in my west facing livingroom window...I have blossom coming on two of my resting phalaenopsis int he kitchen (east facing) window!! yeah!

what a pleasure Lori, those orchids. :) I've got the AV's in the east window. The west is very shady.
