Just loving my new camera and all the Autumn colour

Have been outside all morning, after getting meal ready for this evening, to clear out a border and do some tidying up. I did forewarn you I could become a bit of a camera freak with my new toy. lol I am enjoying the colour so much out in the garden but especially love the hardy fuschias. Thinking of buying more next year.

This side border along the crazy paving path tends to get overgrown with the clematis, so just decided to start on the clear up here.

Halfway through the chopping back and pulling out I made time to have a coffee at the table and could not resist the photo opportunity.

The Silver Birch tree is beginning to change colour, it is always the first to lose its leaves and oh boy it is shedding them on mass at the moment, the grass up in the woodland border area is covered in leaves and pine needles.

This little beauty was a present from Karen when she came down just over a year ago for a visit:- It is growing well in a pot and the colour is stunning the autumn has definitely arrived.

This Sumac tree is starting to turn golden but usually I am disappointed with its autumnal colour as it starts to colour up and drop its leaves before they have chance to reach the red stage. :(

Finished off the clearing up of debris and decided to snap some more pictures – so sorry if you are losing the will, just had to be done!

Some of the fuschias showing off their lovely colours and form :O)

Hope you are all well and able to get outside and enjoy the colour as much as I am doing. Must try and get a picture of the wood once it starts to change its colour, mainly oak trees – they are always the last to change colour. The dual carriageway is in beautiful colour with all the different trees, but I am not able to stop to shoot the colours as it is always so very busy with traffic. Not a brave photographer YET! LoL :O)

Ah! This is great, I'm so glad you put these on. Your photos are TONS better now! At last we can really see the stunning colours and the different forms in your garden. They are all great but the one from your coffee seat is my favourite! :) You are a bit like me now....slightly shaky hands...need to keep still :) x

Thank you Karen, the garden is so pretty even in its last weeks of life. I shall miss the colour once it goes but then I do look forward to the spring bulbs. Of course it lays bare for a few weeks but not many, the evergreens help keep the interest. Off out tomorrow maybe to buy some more tulip bulbs, emptied a planter this morning and it will take tulip bulbs. Sammie is coming over so will treat her to lunch, unless she is too tired from her travels. Sarah is in Scotland so no Lottie to play with this week. Yes the acer has done really well even after Lottie tries pruning it when the mood takes her. lol.

Thank you Lincslass I am enjoying the camera so much. It is amazing how much more detail it is picking up. It fits in my pocket so it is with me all the time. lol.

It will not show off as much as I would wish for Dawn unless the sunshine keeps on coming. Nice day at the moment, not sunny yet, but looks promising. Hoping to get the grass cut for one final time today.

Aimeehoward thank you :O) pleased I can impress lol. its all such hard work but very rewarding. Finding it harder as I get older. Something us gardeners have to learn to cope with I suppose. lol :O)

Super colours in your garden there Oliveoil! no wonder you couldn't resist taking so many photos...as for the duel carriageway, I'm sure it won't be long before you're brave enough to capture some of the colours there too, although they would have to be spectacular to better than those we see in your garden.
