Or could be called ‘yellow still life’
Due to muchos boredom because of the cold….the dogs don’t even want to go out, I don’t Want to go out…I dressed up in my warmest coat, fake leopard skin, and the horses want to chase me off!

I picked the daffs because they were dying and put them in a vase And they’ve come back to life! I really hope that by bringing in my latest buy, hellebore angel glow might bring that back to life too…the flowers are all a droop.

So here is what happened…..I got a yellow theme going. Each time me or other half come back in…it’s grown. Silly I know but I’ve been very busy in the studio (see last pic) and, well, I thought it funny!

Sluggy’s ball is up there now, much to her annoyance! It used to light up different colours when it bounced but sadly it’s run out of juice!

Pickled lemons….quite yummy….did you notice lol!
Also cod liver oil in an attempt to get the doggies joints working as they should!

Rescue remedy, I think I may need some! Washing up gloves, an endless cycle of washing up….no dish washer!

Oh and. Glass of white wine (well sort of yellow) much needed! Sorry loosing the plot, see above! And here’s to the yellow medley in its entirety, so now we have run out of yellow!

So apart from being silly I have been working hard of a mosaic bird bath. I used an old rusty wok I found in a field last year. Can’t wait to see the wee birds having a bathe! It’s a way from being finished but its keeping me well busy. By far one of the most difficult mosaics I’ve made for a while due to the curves of the wok.

This blog was written in the hope of beating the prolonged winter blues, hope it cheers you up too!

That mosaic is superb! Love the shape and the design!

Love your yellow table too! I see doggy biscuits and tea on the last one - is there any cheese or egg yolks?

that wok is worthy of exhibiting Lulu, you might run a series of them, recycle centres must get a few tired old woks in ( rummage in the 'metal only' skips )
Chinese red dragon is a good project perhaps?
BTW: the yellow theme is anything but silly, I did a 'red only' plant blog I seem to remember, great fun! ;-)

If I'm not mistaken Lulu, that birdbath is in 'Majorelle blue' (see my latest blog!). Wonderful, would look perfect in his garden, but I don't think you'll be selling that one....it's too nice...keep it for your own garden! :)

Well all the yellows are out away now, apart from the vases of daffs. The jelly baby has been eaten And the wine refilled!
Doggy biccies, yes, cheese...no I forgot that one!
Might be the last wok I design Bampy.....it's taking ages...I will keep this one though!

That wok looks to good to go outside for the birds Lulu it would make a fab fruit bowl , I can see how difficult it must have been to make due to the curves ......

Wheres the Colmans Mustard Lulu???. I love it, smashing way to banish the boredom.
You've transformed that wok its really attractive and I hope your feathered friends appreciate all your efforts to create the perfect bath for them, they'll think they're at the roman baths, very posh...

We have a saying in Glasgow, used to describe someome at the top of their game & it's appropriate to your yellow theme...You're some banana, so you are!

25 Mar, 2013

"stir crazy"! :0)))

A sunny happy way to start the morning Lulu xxx

I often use the word banana in my sentences! Especially like to say cool bananas!
Right, off to make a stir crazy posh birdbath in my studio/greenhouse!

That wok is with the mosaic is a great piece of art, Lulu! :-)) The birds ought to be very happy with their posh new bath!

So you've "gone bananas" over yellow! :-D) LOL!

Top banana is another, person or circumstance.
Banana feet, derogatory & never to be directed to some banana, or or top banana. Bad etiquette.
That doesn't look right, but, it does, too, I think.
