I moved to our 3 bed bungalow in may this year, my main reason for moving was i needed a bigger garden as i had exhausted our small garden..so hear i am with a decent front sized garden with lawn and a 95ft back garden complete with a conker tree apple tree’s pears and a cherry plus a large lawn, what more could i ask for !
I brought lots of my shrubs and perennials with me well the ones i could carry ! unfortunatly i had to leave the majority behind.
I’m happy here and i’m always looking to improve the lawns which are full of weeds and moss but that will have to wait till next year now.
Also for next year we will be raising beds in the back for vegatables probably Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Cabbage etc , so i’m really excited at the prospects of eating our own fruit and veg :))

I've just had a walk round your garden - you really did start with a blank canvas, didn't you! (apart from all those Crocosmias - LOL) Now you've done a lot and it's nice to hear that you have plans for next year. I hope those floods can be sorted out, it looks as if you might need to improve the drainage in that border or was it a freak downpour?

Good luck with creating your new garden. It's good to see how it is developing.
I've been living here nearly 3 years and am still in the throes of doing it but a garden is something that's never 'finished'.
Good luck with your vegetables next year too.
All the best, Hywel.

Wow Lori, that is good news. Great to move to a bigger garden and to create one just like you want it. Good fun making plans and gradually executing them. Guess the winter is not a good time for it, but you can do it all on paper first can't you?
Hope to see some pics of it all eventually.

No Spritzhenry it was a usual downpour the problem being clay soil think the drainage will have to be tackled sometime next year.
