Spilt up the BIG PEONY & now have TWO PLANTS as i wanted :) “Thanx Every1” 4 your HELP & now 2wait & see if theyl flower this year?

Fingers crossed Jacque. Hope the plants do well. I havent seen them for years and my granny had a peony bush here in the garden and I remember seeing the fabulous flowers as a child - happy memories!!!
They are lovely, and make such a statement.

I am trying to get my peony to flower too this year and have just re potted a bit shallower. lets hope we get results,
The peony is one of my favourite flowers, so delicate and pretty, Have you seen the Jane Fonder face cream advert ?, she gets a fab bunch of pink peonies,... being a florist I notice those bits, and think what a fab bunch of flowers to receive (expensive too!)

I want a Peony in my garden too! Last year, we visited Kelway's which is famed for its 'Peony Valley' and Peonies named 'Kelway this-and-that' Oh dear, what a disappointment! Very few for sale - and not good quality, either, though expensive. Walked through the famous Valley - weeds everywhere, sometimes so tall that they obscured the Peonies trying to grow! Many of the plants were not named, so no hope of ordering - and anyway, due to problems they had experienced, they were only offering a very limited list to order. Of course, the ones I'd picked out were not available. C'est la vie. I shall no doubt find what I want sometime - somewhere. (else)

I hope they do well - I moved an old peony last year which had been growing in the same spot for years, and it flowered beautifully for me. So fingers crossed you wont have to wait too long to see the lovely flowers!
