Thanx for that tip, Jacque. Usually, places sell only 3 for £10. I forget about Wickes when it comes to gardening stuff.

Just came across your blog re Wicks compost Jacque ,just searched and they still have the offer on.

Thanks ready for new compost so shall certainly give Wickes a try.

I have been driving a distance to get Bullrush compost but now with the added cost of fuel ,does help if you can get quality compost a little cheaper.

Thanks again.

Scotkat.

I am amazed that this "offer" still continues! This has really been a great tip, Jacque - Thank You! Great comments on the fuel cost, Scotkat!

PS. Do you think that "Bullrush" is good? I found it difficult to work with, myself.

I really did like it and managed to get it at a horticulture wholesaler.

David I had been getting our local shop to deliver and he did not charge delivery but was same price as all the garden centres 3 for £10 but they still had hard clubs of soil and twigs not so goood for my hanging baskets and containers .

Then when I was over in June only had room fo r1 bag in my car as had other stuff in boot.

Gave the Bullrush a try and yes and it was an 80Ltr bag no twigs and clumps.

But how long will Wicks have this offer and even if you have to add feed .

Still cheaper we all have to try to cut back and use other methods with this fuel prices.

Also got told Lidls bark was good so same applied been buying bark at higher prices and one of my ladies gardens I tend to wanted bark in an area but to keep cost down used Lidls and good quality .

They also have compost not tryed it yet .

If we just try 1 bag not a lot of money wasted.
