Back from the dead!

Back from the dead!

this cordyline got left out the greenhouse last year thinking it was a hardy variety, well lets just say i found out the hard way that it's not! and it completey rotted and died back, but with a bit of TLC new compost and lots of feeding - look it has come back!

to be honest Marguerite, i have no idea i was kind of hoping that someone might be able to tell me. it did have a much thicker stem - this is what rotted back in the winter, and this little baby started growing from the side, so i just chopped off the big dead bit and gave it some TLC. i do have another variety that is far more common in gardens over here, 'red star' i think it is called and they are completely hardy in the UK. this one however is not! so your guess is as good as mine

Well done for trying, and succeeding. Some would have thought it was a gonner and thrown it out.
