CALL THIS SNOW!!!!

Our Daughter sent these photos of a BLIZZARD??!!! taken in her garden in Sark yesterday, I think she wanted us to know how much she is suffering in the awful weather. Who does she think she is kidding

Snowing heavily, we could be snowed in for weeks.

Getting better, it’s been all of 10minutes. Note the Rose in the bottom of the photo, out in full bloom for the whole Christmas
period.

30 minutes later, snow completely gone and Rose basking in warm sunshine. Oh! how we suffered. That’s winter done and dusted. Roll on Spring.

I can send some.....lol.

6 Jan, 2010

Aren't we all Louise, yes Linclass so could we. I might box some up and send on, if only there were any planes from Gatwick. LOL.

Hi Bob ~
Did they send a photo of their Sark snow man ? ;o)

6 Jan, 2010

Hi TT,
That could have been difficult, but I think they might be off my Xmas card list.

6 Jan, 2010

Lol. :o)

6 Jan, 2010

She cannot be serious. :0))) Lol

6 Jan, 2010

She is TL, the butler didn't even have to oil the skis LOL.

6 Jan, 2010

HUH! We've joined the 'white brigade' today - she could definitely have ours - with pleasure! Skis? Hmm...how about a little sleigh that Henry could pull? LOL.

6 Jan, 2010

I'm sure we could spare her a good 6 inches and still have a good covering here. It actually looks wonderful today as the sun is out. But it is -3 and even with a hat that covered them my ears were tingling!

6 Jan, 2010

We are snowed in again (last month it took a week to get the cars out) and its still coming down.

6 Jan, 2010

I offered her the 6 inches Carol, for some weird reason she declined. LOL.

6 Jan, 2010

I can't go out - my ears are soooooo painful and it's gone in my sinuses now. I have a scarf tied round my face. I shall NOT be posting a photo!

Moan, wail, scream, yell. :-((( How long do antibiotics take to kick in? Started yesterday.

Are you and Mr MB better now, Mg??

6 Jan, 2010

Oh! dear Barbara, sorry about that. I have been in for 2 hours now apart from an early burst of snow clearing, definitely suffering from cabin fever.

6 Jan, 2010

Sorry - I should be more of a stoic and grin and bear it. I'm not going outside, though!

6 Jan, 2010

Do feel for you SprItz,sinus problems often worse than a cold, you`re right to stay indoors, Henry will have to wander in the garden........

6 Jan, 2010

SpritzH Mr MB and I are getting there but still coughing and sinuses blocked. Just glad we are improving... I'd say I was around 85% now. As long as we don't do too much we are okay.

Dr B I fail to understand how the genuine offer of 6 inches of pristine snow could be rejected... It isn't as if it would leave us without any after all lol!

Tip for anyone with pierced ears... do not wear earrings in the weather is below, say, -5 they can actually freeze in your earlobe.

6 Jan, 2010

I agree about the snow Carol, very unsporting. Thanks for the tip about the earrings too I will take heed of that. LOL.

6 Jan, 2010

Hi spritz sorry to hear you and the moonbulbs are suffering have you tried Manuka honey I went for the whole of last year with only one dose of sinusitis( used to be 5 or 6) now a teaspoon of manuka EVERY day seems to help...( I Hope!-- mr g says its a placebo -- hes had 2 colds already this winter---!!!

6 Jan, 2010

Do you think she would appreciate the Sark-asm here, DrB?? Hope everyone who is "under the weather" gets well, soon. :-))

6 Jan, 2010

Yes, thanks David, I'm sure she'd enjoy that.

6 Jan, 2010

Hey! Guess what I've just seen posted on our local Freecycle page?

10 tons of snow - bring your own bags! How about that? I could ask my ever - helpful husband to go and get some for your daughter, Docbob. :-)))))

6 Jan, 2010

It may be damaged in transit in bags and imagine getting that through customs, you could give it a try though, not sure what sort of welcome it would get. Lol. I wouldn't want to be down at the harbour when that arrives.

6 Jan, 2010

LOL.

6 Jan, 2010

lol

6 Jan, 2010

He he DrB all that snow and no vehicles allowed on Sark must be a nightmare commuting to work. I can think of a lot worse places to be snowed in ..

6 Jan, 2010

Too true Ray, tractors though allowed for farmers and carriers, when we were over in June, the height of the season we got caught up in the rush hour one morning, a tractor and a woman on a bicycle at the same time. Absolutely fantastic though, we love it.

6 Jan, 2010

LOL...Can certainly see the appeal, especially from up here !

6 Jan, 2010

Oh Bob, I think we'll all move to the beautiful Sark. x

7 Jan, 2010

Yes Dawn, we are considering it now.xx

7 Jan, 2010

E mail from Sark this morning says temperature is nudging 10 degrees, they have turned all their heating off, the sun is shining and the sheets are drying well on the line. She just wanted to cheer us up, how could she!! LOL.

13 Jan, 2010

10˚ no fair - we get all excited when it creeps up to 2˚

13 Jan, 2010

its been snowing here all day ---had enough now--- spring seems a long way off :-(

13 Jan, 2010

Same here Pam, absolutely cheesed off now.

13 Jan, 2010

!0 degrees? That's almost summer compared to us! lol.

13 Jan, 2010

Ha ha, only just found this - very amusing, your lucky daughter, that's all I can say. I live in the south and I'm sick to death of snow - we have more forecast for this week here.

14 Feb, 2010

Thanks Bamboo,
Yes she is very lucky, we love it there too. They have turned the heating off for the summer and flowers are all out now.
