More rocks

Not a lot to say here, but I have just taken delivery of a small trailer of rocks from a friend, who’s next-door neighbour was going to “skip” them. They are sandstone which do not match the limestone I have in the rockery, so a new site will be formed away from the others. I will post a picture when the rocks have been placed.

That was a nice gift. Would have cost quite a bit I should think. A good idea to have a separate rockery, a good opportunity to have lots of different rock plants.

Mad, Not a gift exactly, more a way of getting rid of "rubbish" But useful rubbish as far as I am concerned. The gift to my way of thinking, was the fact that our friend brought the load up to me. I had made 2x20 mile round trips loaded with rock from the house & the remainder were too big to lift into the boot.
I have placed some rocks in the first rockery to build up & bulk out. The others, I have partially created a new rockery. It does not look much now, but given time....Who knows? As to the cost of these rocks, I doubt I could have bought any...Not on my pension :-/

Bogwitch, (Love that name :-) ) I will not say I am an addict, it's just that the garden needed a lot of work. But, I am always on the look out for useful things, garden or otherwise.

Cliveanne do you have a freecycle group in your area? It is a great way of disposing of things you don't want and aquiring things you do, all for free.

You just go to Google and type in freecycle and the main name of your area.

Yes I do have Freecycle, & I've used it in the past as well...To good effect
I have taken a picture of the rockery (as it stands). It could well change before I plant it.
