Oh I'm fed up with rain aswell. It's nice in winter because it keeps the frost away but this time of year I want some warm sunshine.

Thank you for your comments folks. I did go for a 2hr saunter in the rain after my Tai Chi session, just me, the rabbits, squirrels, the birds in the trees, not to forget the wild flowers & a lot of overgrown pathways in the woods, fields, & a long ago abandoned railway track. The planting of rice has just reminded me. A few weeks ago I had some watercress left over in the bag (I get through a lot of salad this time of the year) My Good Lady wanted to throw it away, I told her I would do it for her, it is now growing in the stream & doing quite nicely thank you. Not big enough for the plate, but in time perhaps, meanwhile it adds a bit of colour.

thats brilliant! hope it continues to grow. i have grown the herbs from the supermarket pots successfully and i now have hundreds of little papaya seedlings growing from the fruit i bought and ate a few weeks ago.
