Rain, rain, rain.

I have had to stop my stream due to the pond liner floating. I have discovered that the stream is feeding some water below the liner. I need to replace the stream liner, now I have the money to do the job , I have the rain stopping me. Such are the joys of our climate.

Poor you hope you get a dry window soon, did you have the over lap facing the wrong way? Its wet here but after many weeks of draught I am just grateful.

I had three liners in the stream, two of which are damaged so they were used for padding. The top liner which was cut from the "new" roll must have been damaged when I placed the stepping stone/bridge into the stream, even thought I had packed it out with carpet underlay. To be honest, I did not take much notice of the positioning of the bottom liners, but yes they carried the water under the pond liner (which also is well padded out with underlay & membrane. The biggest headache is removing the rocks & stones from the stream. Pumping out the water is no big deal other than getting on all fours & holding pump & liner apart while My Good Lady switches the pump on/off. Try that with sciatica in both legs, it makes life quite interesting. I'm taking time out for now, hoping I recover somewhat before having another go. Meanwhile I have the pump running & the water is returning through a down-pipe.
