About me

We've lived in France near the Loire Valley for ten years. We have two hectares of garden with a large pond, a river, forest and heavy clay soil. The vegetable garden is ok but we never have enough time to weed the flower garden. We've planted over three hundred trees. We're trying to cultivate a permaculture garden with lots of flowers, fruit and vegetables but it's very difficult.
Be interested to hear from others with VERY large gardens and how they cope. We don't just want to sit on a mower and cut grass round assorted shrubs. We value our snakes, lizards, insects and wild flowers. But we do want to create some sort of order some of the time. No chemicals though.
We run two small gites and visitors who are keen on gardens are always welcome...
