The addition to the shadehouse project is under
way. All the rosebushes and perennials have been moved and the farme is up. The extra support posts for the roof have been added since I took the second photo. Next will be to add the lattice on the roof and then add the bamboo shades on the sides and then wood trellises along the sides like the ones in the section to the right. Plants wont be able to be moved out until the middle of April.
I will post photos of the finished project soon.

This is right after all the plants were moved.

And this was before I added the extra support pipes for the roof.

Great project! Sounds like you love the construction part of gardening just as much as the growing and planting - like me!

the law of supply and demand with a twist...the demand for space for plants always expands to fill or exceed the amount of space supplied by new shelves....lol. You sure seem to be having fun...we're getting rain and a few days above zero...the snow is diminished but it's far from gone, soon hope to be able to display my new birdhouse and maybe an obelisk or two! Glad you are finally getting your projects underway!

David... Yes I do really enjoy the construction part of gardening. I enjoy planning also. I've been doing a lot of sketches for a possibe new cover over my patio. You can be sure that a new one wont collapse form heavy snow.

Lori... Glad to hear that the snow is going. We are going to warm up considerably by the middle of the week so you should be also. Sounds like maybe you have been putting the new table saw to work ?
