Rain Poem

Given the somewhat damp weather here this afternoon, I thought this might raise a smile or two (one of my friends recited it to me the other day).

The rain it rains upon the just,
And on the unjust fella.
But most of all upon the just,
‘Cos the unjust has the just’s umbrella!

What a nice little poem, sorry it's rained down there today,up in the north west its been lovely for quite a few days,its been very cold with a bitting wind, but nice blue sky's and plenty of sunshine.

Hi AndrewR, What a lovely little rhyme. You will be happy to know that here in Essex its been pouring all day as well. But....I was very good. I donned my waterproofs, grabbed my soft broom and used the rain to gently remove all the pigeon poo from the greenhouse roof. My other half says Im off my head but I felt good Regards Milky

Great ending, but it really is not a legal rhyme with two lines ending in just.

I will check out your Kazakstan adventures. That intrigues me to no end. I once had a chance to join in a botanical adventure to the Tien Shen Mountains of Kyrgyzstan.

A divorce and child support responsibilities prevented that foot-loose excursion. It is one of those lifetime opportunities that are rarely extended a second time. Had I to do it over again, I would have gone.
