Gardeners world magazine March 09

I have had a tip printed in this months edition.

I have had the magazine for a while before I even realised. I get sent emails from gardeners world to fill out surveys. I’m sure lots of you do as well. Well I fill them out put down my wisdom and hopefully you win something. I cant remember when this one was filled in, but it is on plant supports.

Just think someone out there is thinking that this is a good tip, others will probably go “I know that already”.

Has anyone else ever had anything printed? I know there are a few of you that has had their wonderfull gardens filmed and photographed, but what about written pieces.

Nothing to do with gardening, but I had a letter printed in a magazine many years ago and had a reply several months later from a lady in India. It sparked off years of being pen-pals then, after my marriage broke up and I met my new man, he was more a more adventurous person than I'd been used to (!!!!!) and suggested we go to India to meet my pen-pal and her family. We've now been to see them three times and had the most wonderful experiences. We've seen rice being planted, growing, being harvested; Weve seen all kinds of spices growing - cardamom, nutmeg, tamarind, pepper - loads more; We've seen the Taj Mahal at moonlight and we've spent the night on a "country boat" on the backwaters of Kerala.

I strongly recommend getting in print - it opens up the world.

Well done TTT. Best wishes. :o)

My tip was "When you tie plants to the support, do it in a figure of eight to allow for growth and movement."

Not rocket science or ground breaking, but never the less new for some people.

I had a letter printed in Gardener's World (in response to a another letter) and ended up with a £10 Garden Voucher - I was thrilled to bits and have still to spend it :)
