Unfortunately Terra, I left all the bulbs I dug up from Laceby and left them in a big pot in the garage, but my neighbour has just found them and will take a chance planting them even if they are in two big pots.

Hi Rose ...
let's hope your bulbs produce some flowers.

Hi Tt, another lovely blog, it warms the cockles of your heart, when you see another year of flowers emerging from a blank canvas, Derek.

What a beautiful hellebore! How do they do it? Such fragile beauty at the harshest time of the year....incredible!

15 Jan, 2019

Thanks Hywel, Derek, Karen ..
Amazing how well the hellebores flower in the middle of winter !

16 Jan, 2019

I definitely have Hellebore envy for that one Terra!

16 Jan, 2019

Your hellebore is lovely Terra, must look out for that one, I do like flowers in that shade of colouring, mine are all coming out now although sadly the rain is making them droop today, I think we are going to have an early spring, the signs are all there in my garden, hoping anyway, lol...

Hi Sue... thanks... my camera does produce the correct colour for that Hellebore, so what you see there is the actual shade of the petals. It is very pretty.

16 Jan, 2019

Lots of colour there, including your two friends. Made me smile!

16 Jan, 2019

Hello Eirlys ... thanks ..
pleased to make you smile !

16 Jan, 2019

Your hellebore is just beautiful.

As for bulbs peeping through I agree that it is one of the best sights you could see in the middle of winter. Lots of hope and promise on the way.

All these photos are 'feel good' photos. Lovely!

TT I had to laugh at the dogs, they look so cute all wrapped up and cosy.....
The bulbs are very early this year, so far so good, lovely hellebore, much earlier than ours, even our snowdrops are always late, considering we live in the South!! odd isn't it?

16 Jan, 2019

Strong bulbs!
I'll assume the Hellebore is the big flower. Very beautiful.

17 Jan, 2019

Thanks Wildrose, Sunnydais, Dotty and Aleyna ...
yes, the Hellebore is the large flower ... I have three hellebores ... one in front garden pot, one in back garden pot and another in the ground in the front garden, and all flowering well, so where they are located in my gardens doesn't seem to be a factor in how well they thrive.
Glad you like my dogs, Dotty ... they love dressing up !

Fantastic to see so much life returning to our gardens! That Hellebore is great, TT! I really ought to get 2 or 3 for the balcony, the Pansies are not putting on much of a show at the moment. Bulbs have been peeking through since Christmas on the balcony.

Yesterday I saw the first Daffodils of 2019 opening at the local hospital when we went there for the eye clinic for my wife. As anyone can imagine I got my first picture of Daffodils this year! πŸ˜€
