Great photos again Terra I see one of yours is sideways as well, why do they do that ? You say wet and blustery we lost 5 fence panels the other night, absolutely smashed them. Merry Christmas , Roy.

Your garden is looking lovely and must cheer up the dreary winter days.

21 Dec, 2013

Thanks Dotty for such kind words ...
I was lucky to take the photos just before the rains arrived !
Hi Lijemc ...
Thank you. Yes, this is a cheering view to see from my windows :o)

21 Dec, 2013

Your garden is wonderful TT, even in mid winter. I can see Conker and Truffle are both very proud of it !

21 Dec, 2013

Your garden looks great Terra, mine is boggy and windswept. But its the shortest day today so hurry on spring.

21 Dec, 2013

Hi Denise ...
thanks ... the rain storms have reached my gardens now ..
but I'm sure the weather here isn't as wild as in some other parts of the UK.

21 Dec, 2013

Its lovely as always, especially the jasmine and that beautiful clematis. Almost, but not quite, put in the shade by your helpers, looking as handsome as ever.

21 Dec, 2013

I enjoyed this blog very much TT.
what a lovely range of plants still doing their thing.

21 Dec, 2013

Still so much colour..even the green shades look as green as in springtime,Terra..you must get so much pleasure looking out of your window....lovely blog and photo's ,thank you .xxx

21 Dec, 2013

Do you go out and wash and brush them up Terra or is that down to Truffle and his handy brush, you really should put him up for hire, so many lovely shrubs and all that colour, they all look amazing, my garden has a definite sad look to it now, bedraggled and very soggy is an apt way to describe it.
I enjoyed seeing your garden and the boys Terra,
Conker is a picture of health, its a joy to see and long may that continue.xx

21 Dec, 2013

Superb garden TT - your Boys have been busy I see! what a lovely Clematis amidst the Jasmine like everything in your garden they are sitting beautifully together, No wonder you have a happy Robin :o)

Everything looks wonderful TT - is soggy and wet here! Your pictures cheered me up :)

22 Dec, 2013

Thanks Angie ...
showers here, but sunshine in between :o)

22 Dec, 2013

yes, I agree with Angie. the weather here lately has not allowed me to get outdoors much at all. We even had some snow today, and sleet, and wind. It's been miserable for a while now, and no sign of anything better to come. but having moaned about all that, I have really loved seeing all your photos terra. It's a stunning garden....so much love and care in it. Thank you for sharing it with us. :) so many flowers :)

22 Dec, 2013

Thanks Karen .. a pity about your weather ..
... but the compensation is that you have the cleanest drive in Scotland ;o) x

22 Dec, 2013

terra....this is true, lol!

22 Dec, 2013

Wow your garden looks fantastic Tt! Especially the Wisley cream....:)). Looking forward to my baby one especially if it does as well as yours! Another on my wish list is a JR Garrya Elliptica (I always forget about it until I see your late winter photos!). And a Coronilla, isn't it just a fantastic plant for winter! Love your winter garden!

22 Dec, 2013

:o)

22 Dec, 2013

Hi Janey ... thanks ..
Yes Garrya elliptica and Coronilla are both super.

I'll look after your Baby Wisley over Christmas and then package him up for you in the New Year. He is safe on my kitchen window ... I might even give him a piece of tinsel to help him join in the festivities :o)

23 Dec, 2013

I might try some cuttings from the coronilla once it's finished flowering in summer. Was going to do it last year, but it kept flowering right through the summer and only rested in sept and oct. It's a fantastic plant! The scent is lovely.

23 Dec, 2013

Hi Karen ..
I think my coronilla is slightly different to yours ... is yours in flower now ? Maybe we could do a swap of baby coronillas, as we did with the sedums ?

23 Dec, 2013

Yes!, absolutely Terra! Mine is C. Valentina subsp. Glauca 'Citrina'. It has bluer leaves and a more lemony shade to the flowers. Thinking of propagation...my first job when we get home from our holiday in January is to order up a greenhouse.....no matter what OH's opinion is! Lol! I have decided to make a vegetable garden on the west side of the house, and put the greenhouse beside it. That's me you see....if I am prevented from 'pottering' I turn to 'plotting'! I really do need a greenhouse though...if I'm not to bankrupt him. I'm going to need to do a lot of propagating here...there's a lot of lawn that needs to come up for plants.....a lot of plants!

23 Dec, 2013

Yes.. great .. Next year I'll try to make some baby plants from my Coronilla. I don't have a greenhouse, but I do have a small kitchen shelf !
Which months is yours in flower ? Mine has less scent than yours, but the flowers seem to be a deeper yellow.
Good luck with your pottering ... and plotting ;o)

23 Dec, 2013

The first year it flowered nov - April, but this year it carried on flowering right through the summer! It only has a few flowers on right now, but even those few are very pretty in midwinter. :) I have a good sized windowsill in the kitchen too....good thinking Terra...and another one at the back of the garage in the utility room. I could put my cuttings there!

23 Dec, 2013

Seems the coronillas produce flowers over many months !
Let's hope we are both successful making baby plants.
I'm chuffed that Baby Wisley for Janey is doing so well ...

23 Dec, 2013

Hi TT,
Do hope you are all well. Your garden looks magnificent as always.
