They really are. I'm keeping my eyes open for the first I. unguicularis to appear now. :-)

On photo - Iris lazica x 2.

Yes, it's a joy. :-)

You're not thinking of spending more money, are you, Ba? :-O

Only if you come and dig the hole for me, Andrew. There's a seam of hard clay across the garden there....hmmph! I don't think OH would be too impressed to be asked for help, either. :-(

It was just toooooo cold and windy to go on a Pulmonaria hunt yesterday, but I hope it's still there...

Burncoose says it's an apricot...I have an advert on my screen - how useful! :-;

Thanks - it really is amazing! :-D)

Sbg, you know me so well. ;-)

Yes, it's a wonderful sight. :-))

No, I think it might be an ornamental peach...but I'd need to check it.

It isn't a large tree, Gralew, and I prune it after it's flowered. More like a shrub!

:-)

The ground is so hard under both my shrubs, I don't think I could dig it to plant a Clem, much as I like Andrew's idea.

YES!!!! :-)))

I love it, Dd. You are a natural at garden planning - it's amazing! :-))) I award you 10/10 or ***** if you prefer. ;-)

I think it's probably too late, Dawn, but never mind, they are lovely trees anyway. They still get the pretty leaf colouring, although not as intensely.

I think you've got a good one, Wildrose. :-))

Yes, they get cut back hard in early spring, Dawn. Having said that, I'm afraid ours haven't been, due to my illness...I am so pleased that you liked them enough to get your own!

Take a look at Juncker's Plants - they specialise in Daphnes and Karen Juncker is a real expert on how best to grow them and which ones are the easiest. I think it should come up on google.

They are appearing gradually, Petal. :-))

I do know that they don't like being moved! I have neutral soil and my Daphne is happy in that. They can be quite temperamental, I'm afraid. Sorry that isn't much help.
