Hi everyone, not been on here for a while, just before Christmas Sarah my daughter went down with Pneumonia, very poorly for a couple of weeks as you can imagine. Had to stamp my feet to get a doctor to come out to her was told ‘we don’t come out to teenagers’!!!!!!!!! Eventually got one to come out to her and sent her straight up to A & E for a chest x ray, which in his words ‘showed a very nasty chest infection’ duh!! Could have told him that myself!! Then just when she got better hubby went down with flu! Put him in bed for 3 days (this is a man who is NEVER ill second time in 36 years of marriage) as he got out i got in!! Laid us low for a few weeks but better now.
Haven’t been in garden at all so no photos to post as yet, i do have an Amaryllis (spelling?) that my mother gave to me as she had 4 its in bud so will take a photo now and one when it opens can’t remember what colour it is its called Red Lion so i presume its Red!!
Its been freezing cold here (Lincolnshire, England) so not a lot going on in the garden from what i can see from the window, i have noticed a grape hyacinth under the front hedge in flower, a lovely sign of things to come and i did notice when i went out to the freezer in the garage that the daffodils i put in pots are just poking a tip of green out of the compost (think they’re daffys haven’t labelled them!!!) makes me smile when i think of spring.
Well i will just wish you all a Happy 2009 can’t wait to see all the spring flowers on here soon i hope!!!
