depends when you got it and what it is and if your prunning right time etc, a name would be good as so many blue ones

yes mine had started to get the green now thats normal as moongrower and Tugrethil say

think they grow pretty much in any soil, i have a new black bamboo which i planted in a very large tub which is burried in the ground to stop it taking over, they can be a thug and sprout all over, so best contained if you dont want it going mad.

i prune mine in spring when i can see buds coming and no risk of frost to get into tree, i take all the dead pieces off the ends, you get the pink leaves coming then on new growth

i would wait either till flowers are finished which i did or when they start to sprout again in spring, some say better to move before winter when soil is warm so they settle,

been looking online and they are beautifull when alot dawn, will look great near you pond with it being a big area ;o)

lovely when they last dawn, some of my clematis are very slow to get going with flowers, but hope each year will get better,

its a oriental dotty not sure if it has another name , i have pink one and a white one to, got it, its a stargazer
