I got a little one today!! £6 from Dobbies. I've put it in the ground so if it perishes I can get another for a pot. I want to see if I can get another one to survive in the ground. Lovely San!

So pleased the weather was good and it was a break for you both, sad you feel you do not want to return, but I do not blame you.

The Alpinas are easy and rewarding...as long as you don't mind a wall covered with dead looking thatch all winter! but this looks like an ideal situation for leaving it to it's own devices.

Totally agree with you! Did you see in the papers that Keira Knightley had a very quiet and simple wedding? good for her, it's all about the celebrity culture and copying what the stars do....nothing to do with a commitment and a sworn oath nowadays.....but I'm sure they're not all like that. One family member recently had to go to Las Vegas for BIL wedding...ridiculous, and guests are expected to pay their own plane fares! Then they had a big do here as well! could have probably furnished a house and bought a new car with all that lolly, not to mention the house deposit! They want their heads looking at as my Mum would say! ;)

Fantastic San - love this. We have one, which I also thought was thriving on neglect, but it's a quarter the size of yours!
