Looking Fab Sandra, your Acer looks really healthy, mine has doubled in size this year, I love the way the leaves look when the sun is shining on it.. Are you going to leave your Decking Natural?

I saw a pic in a book last week...and I thought of your predicament because it was a photo of a Japanese garden corner...you already have the pea gravel...it was moss clumps interspersed with the fine pea gravel! will have to look up the book...perhaps I can scan the pic for you.

couldn't agree more with you girls - Gary has more hobbies than I care to mention so he's delighted that I have something to get my teeth into to - however typical man he says he should grow some leaves and maybe he'd get some attention (you can't win) - told him to watch his tongue or he'd end up like the last husband - high and dry ; )

I'm loving your green fence Sandra - project for me next year

it's a Lupin Regina, they are lovely plants and easy to grow, and no eating the seed defo a bad idea..... and San lol another good thing with a greenhouse - even the pop up type is that you can buy plants while 'he' is at work, remove any sale stickers from the pot, and any kind of wrapping hide them up in the greenhouse for a week or two, and then when Baz is in the garden let him see you getting it out of the greenhouse, and show it to him saying..'.look at what i grew from seed...see how much money this greenhouse is saving....maybe we should get a proper/bigger one!' ........ there you go two birds one stone ;-)

OK guys fill me in. What kind of plant is it. Definately cool looking and I won't eat the seeds!

I know just what you mean, i am not with Brookes dad anymore - thankfully actually, but he used to constantly moan about me 'loving the garden and plants more than him'....as it turns out far better off loving the garden than him lol, and even if i did go in to sit with him i would have the pleasure of watching endless hours of football or he would be sat glued to his lap top, and grunt at me if i tried to make converstaion with him - hardly socable! lol - i am sure Baz is no where near as bad as he was, the garden really was my excape. lol

know the feeling :-( although i am out this afternoon while madam is at school - no where exciting just helping out at the play group at the church...so i am off loading my little money to go look after someone elses lol

Looks beautiful Sanbaz.........

they look very healthy San, and the raised bed may help with the slugs and snails but the ones i have in my garden climb the fence find there way into the greenhouse - onto the roof even when all closed up... i think i have army trained ones in my garden lol.

Beautiful, and always a good idea to save seed, but don't mean to put dampener, but the seeds for this are highly toxic, so keep well away from animals/kids where ever you store them...and they are so easy to grow from seed you don't even need a greenhouse San just a tray full out side in a sheltered spot or make shift cold frame in the garden will do...also did you know if there is a wilkos near you they have them pop up ones in there really cheep at the moment.......you could pop it up somewhere tell baz it was half price in the sale...which they are at the moment,,,and let him know how much money you will be saving him by growing your own plants rather than buying them :D

this looks lovely, great angle...we used to have one of thought scarecrows that you have...don't know what happened to it, must have a look in the shed i bet its up there somewhere...and you are doing a fine job San, it does take time, already yours looks great, good shape to the beds, i love the fact that they are raised - gives an extra dimention, you can trail things over the edges i can see you have done that already with some ivy....great minds...lol yep defo off to a very good start, keep up the good work.
On photo - overlook on garden
me too...we have a bit of sun about, but you get all excited, get the washing on the line, stick the gardening gloves on ....and by the time you orgainse yourself out there over come the clouds and down comes the rain :-(

lovely fairy. I have a grey stone Biggles Pig that was here when we moved, I will have to take a photo of him. I found him overgrown in one of the hedges, looks quite old and battered, poor piggy :-)
