spring flying over

this morning we had a black stork flying over the house we dont often them see in the spring, more so during the autumn migration.
last saturday i heardthe first cuckoo, so spring has well and truly sprung.
the large watering cans standing at the ready next to the sink to catch all the waste water to throw over the garden.
i havent met any snakes yet, i cannt remember when we start to see them exactly.
that is the joy of this blog, i can now look back next year and check what happened when as i never got round to making notes on all these things before!
i will try to post some pictures of snakes we saw in our garden a cple of years back, they ar the great western whip, they are not poisonous but fairly agressive and get up to one and a half to 2m. long

we stood in the garden talking when we heard a loud hissing and about 3m behind us this scene took place.
my husband carefully tracked round and got his camera and just pointed
2 males locked in territorial battle, you can actually see blood, it took about 10 mins, they were totally not aware of us and when it was over the looser legged it and the winner retired to a stony patch of ground and rested there for most of the afternoon.

i cannt seem to include more than 3 photos at the time without having to start a new blog episode, so a bit more trial and lots of errors to come

Good photos of the snakes :)
You can add as many as you want. After the first three photos, you just add another three, and then another three, and then another three :o))
