was thinking of getting 2 tracheospermum jasminoides climbers,is the spread manageable ?? as have limited space so am concerened about that !! also can it be clipped or pruned as it grows on to stop going into neigbours .i dont want a climber that is un manageable and one i wish hadnt got,but this seems very popular,also can it be pruned so not to go further than you want it too,dont want it also taking over my plants and growing into them,so many questions i am asking,my mind needs putting at rest..thanx mike 1950

If you want to cover a space 20 to 30 feet wide and 25 feet high, then plant two - if you have much less space than that (and I suspect you do) plant only one. They're slow to start with, but grow away at an average pace once they get going. Prune any bits out you don't want in winter, while its dormant, though you can clip it back whenever you want, as long as its not extreme.

They are very prunable, though I usually wait until after the first flush of bloom in spring, for maximum fragrance.
