How are your runner beans looking? Mine are half way up the sticks with no flowers yet, is it still early? Its not too warm I know....which isnt helping I suppose, im in the south.

I put mine out once the risk of frost had past, then a week later we had slight frosts. But I covered them all up. But as per norm, due to the cool temps, they have turned lime green. Not sure whether to administer water or night nurse:-) They always recover. but as yet no flowers

Don't worry. I only put mine in two weeks ago so they are only just taking hold but I've seen some in the neighbourhood that are already in flower - its the same every year. Late ones will catch up and there's plenty of time for beans, right into September (even October).
