Move and prune a gingko ?out of out

Can i move atree about 7 feet tall which is out of sight of anyone in the garden?.The trunk is about 2 inches thick. Also can Iprune it to a better shape? We,ve been here for threeyears and only now tackling the trees.

Hi. Welcome to GOY. I think you should be able to move it, but wait until early spring and reduce the growth at that time. Make sure the tree is stable after replanting so new roots are not disturbed by wind blow before they have made good growth. There is always an element of risk moving older trees but Ginkgo should be fairly safe. Good luck
