Oh please, I was so hoping it wasn't... but had a horrible feeling it was - is any of the new planting actually visible above the snow?

Amazing contrast of conditions!! Thanks for sharing this.....why not a blog? I don't usually look at questions tab! Glad I did!

thanks Karensusan just managing to post the questions and photos......a blog? not sure.I have had a blog before on a bird forum but it was only one that was ongoing. On here it seems a different format .

27 Nov, 2010

No, no, honestly , it's really easy. On here a blog is just a piece of writing with or without pics. Each blog is saved separately, so it's not like a journal. All you do is write your words and then add your pics. Then you save and preview it so you can check it's how you want it, then, when you've finished editing it you just publish it. Just exactly like you've done here. There is a box below it when it's published, just like this, so others can give you comments and feedback. Good luck! :))

it should be alright as youve cleaned it out and your fish have cover for now unless you already did that . i keep my pump running to stop the pond freezing over myself . it would take a serious freeze to actualy freeze running water .

29 Nov, 2010

we had that last year when the stream froze NP.Had another fall of snow through the night yuk

29 Nov, 2010

cant you unplug the pump so it just fires the water upwards when its winter as that would keep it from freezing rite over but youd need to clean your filter out before you use it again when you do the pond in spring thow scabious

29 Nov, 2010

Well you say that, Nosey, but the fountains in Trafalgar Square are frozen solid today...

29 Nov, 2010

wow that is cold bamboo . i was thinking more so the water breaks the surface which should be ok .
