Looking after lavatera

Hi - mine died suddenly earlier this year - no reason, it just - well - died! I have a new one which seems to be thriving! Maybe they are prone to popping off suddenly?

Lavatera are not very long lived shrubs - five to eight years is about the norm I believe

Yes, I had a beauty which I planted when I first moved to my current home. Last year it didn't do quite as well as usual and this year it had just disappeared. I should have realised what was happening, I moved here 8 years ago.
