Late spring and summer flowering hybrid, needs no pruning. Earlier flowers are large, then it stops for a while, followed by smaller flowers in summer. You can prune in winter if you need to restrict its spread, but you will then lose the early, large flowers.

I have this one Bamboo its very vigorous and beautiful flowers, mine is in a pot on a North facing wall and does very well so far! Good luck
