I have an enormous Camelia bush in my garden which I would like to cut back and shape. Normally camelias do not need prining but as it so large can anyone advise wether I can cut it back and the best way to do it. Thankyou

Camellias don't require pruning, but if necessary, should be pruned a little yearly, is the recommendation. I have, though, cut back by half a very large one, and although there were no flowers the following year, the plant responded very well. If you want to risk it, do it now, no later than end of June.

How do I say thanks?
