Hi, I bought this in May from a lovely old couple running an open garden weekend for charity. It was an astrantia but it quickly went brown and shriveled (others plants from there are thriving) this plant must have grown from a seed set from there. Can anyone identify it please?

It is a Corydalis but I am not sure which one. We have this species in the gravel and it must have come from C. wilsonii but it just doesn't look right :-(((

I thought at first it was Indigofera, but I bow to Bulba's greater knowledge!

As above, thought it could be a Thalictrum. Lovely foliage though

it looks more Corydalis than Thalictrum. Is the pot 3" in diameter? Just to give us an idea of scale. Possible hybrid as BA says. worth allowing to grow on and see what you get. most flower in their second year so next year??

Hi, finally managed to log on again. Thanks for the info, I've googled Corydalis images and compared with mine which now has very insignificant ivory flowers. It looks as though it could be Corydalis ophiocarpa. Foliage still nice. We've found a home for it in a shady spot near an astrantia. I'll try to load up a more recent photo.
