Hi I have several Peony's in my garden, but would love some nearer the cottage so... can I grow and keep Peony's in a container if so what size is best Thanks

Asked from the GoYpedia peonies page

Hi Danbys, these plants last or many years, I have some in my garden that were there when I moved in 53 years ago, the problem is they don't like to be disturbed, and planting in a container you would have to disturb them eventually.
What I would do is use as large a container as possible, plant it up, and leave it alone, apart from watering and the occasional feed, dead head them to prevent them trying to produce seed, don't plant them too deep, leave the tubers just visible, and you should get a few years from them, Derek.

How do I say thanks?
