I have been trying to think of what would surprise and reward your student's, there is vegatable marrow, colleflowers, peas and beens, but why not take DoctorBob's advice, we would love to work with you,and you can have conversations with us,every one on this site will be only to pleased to help.

I work with children and they love anything that comes up quickly - radishes, lettuce, sugarsnap peas, and for a bit of colour why not some calendular plants as you can eat the petals of the flowers in a salad. I grow carrots in a pot as my soil is too stoney. Hope that helps?
