Mad, you could check ou the following websites.....

Some of these roses may be hard to find. Here’s a list of roses, along with their color and scent that are noted for their fragrance and are often available. As per the American Rose Society...

Any David Austin rose
Aromatherapy: deep pink hybrid tea; fruity
Barbra Streisand: mauve hybrid tea; citrus
Diana, Princess of Wales: pink blend, old rose
Ebb Tide: deep plum floribunda; clove
Elle: soft pink hybrid tea; spicy
French Perfume: yellow blend hybrid tea, fruity
Full Sail: white hybrid tea; old rose
Honey Perfume: apricot yellow floribunda; spicy
Julia Child: medium yellow floribunda; licorice
Moon Shadow: mauve hybrid tea; old rose
Neptune: mauve hybrid tea; old rose
New Zealand: light pink hybrid tea; old rose
Pope John Paul II: white hybrid tea; citrus
Scentimental: red striped floribunda; spicy
Secret: yellow blend hybrid tea, spicy
Stainless Steel: light mauve hybrid tea; old rose
The McCartney Rose: pink hybrid tea; old rose
Yves Piaget: deep pink hybrid tea, old rose

From my own garden I can highly recommend David Austin's "Gertrude Jekyll", "Abraham Darby" and "William Shakespeare 2000", "Toulous Lautrec", "Sunflare", "Paul Shirville", "Hansa", "Whisky Mac", "Scentsational", "Sweet Chariot" and "George Burns". Those are my most fragrant roses.

Hope this helps :o)

Hi Mp......early in the summer I emailed David Austin Roses and they sent me their catalogue which is full of their gorgeous roses...all catagorized...free of charge. Since then another has arrived, still haven't made my mind up though ...Lol! Gilli has such a great selection of them too and has first hand knowledge......:o) I love the look and sound of A Shropshire Lad and Strawberry Hill................

Buy yourself a copy of D. G. Hessayon's The Rose Expert, its less than a tenner, worth its weight in gold if you want to select and grow roses. He'll tell you their faults as well as their good points...
