Is this all one Plant? I have bought two of these to go each side of a pergola on which I was putting other clematis (it is about 8 ft long). How old is the Clematis please?

Lovemyveg: I planted this clematic back in 2003. It starts off each year on new shoots which emerge from the ground so I cut away all the old stems early after the snow clears.Last summer I thoughtI had lost it as it was late starting but I noticed the shoots on July 17th and it's growth took off from there. Was in bloom in August and continued right up until Nov 8th ,our first snow fall. There are more photos of it on my garden site. Hope you have success with yours as well.
