His very special - I wonder if he will pass his white genes on in the same way our white squirrels do.

I haven,t seen him with any special one PG , he is friendly with the other garden birds , they don,t mind that he is different .. he always flys off in the same direction , it would be interesting if it had a nest in the garden to see what his babies were like ........

Brilliant Amy. As Bonkers says, it's good that he is accepted by the other birds. This is the best example of this kind of colouring I have ever seen, even in books. Better than the all white variety. Well done for capturing him and lets hope he brings up a nice family of similar babies.

perhaps he picks on them lol have you thaught of that possabillity lol ? cant weight to start your elephant amy and bring it round and check out your vissiter perhaps .be about the right part of summer hopefully when i finish it to see your garden at its best.you remind me of something i guess thats a bit similer.years ago my mum owned a boat on the fens when my dad was alive.anyway a bit like a caravan at night we transformed the kitchen into the bed at night etc.anyway my parents had got up and started chugging along which woke me up but half asleep if you know what i mean lol and peared out the side window like you do.when i looked i couldnt believe what i sore excuse my spelling.it was a man with a border collie .not unusual you mite think apart from, give or take an inch it was completly white to the middlle of its body from its nose down to its ribs and completly black the rest down to the tail.i must admit i only sore one side of this dog but it still woke me up.i wish id had a camera then lol

You could be right NP he does seem a bit bossy , pushes his way in ..LOL.. you are bound to see him he,s, always about . where was the river NP the dog sounds a lot like the collie my brother use to have he regually walks along the river to Ely .. My father had a small boat there ..sorry about your Dad I didn,t know !
We have a caravan , it is like a boat on a windy night ..LOL..
I,m getting on well with the scull , Don,t expect to much , I am enjoying it and can feel myself getting better as I go on , maybe I,ll have to call this a practice one if you don,t like it and do a better one next time .. LOL ..

It was about 30yrs. ago when my father had a little boat at Ely NP , he has been gone 10yrs as well , it,s the river Ouse that runs through Ely . the Camb goes through Cambridge .. .. we lived in the village next to Ely called Lt .Theford ..my brother still lives there ...
It,s great to go punting on the river Camb , we use to make a point of doing it once a year with a picnic , To old now I would fall in .. LOL ..
I think I will need to speak to you when I get near the end of this scull as I,m not sure how to finish it off .. the background should be all white but I don,t think it will look right on here , to much white ...
I,ll speak to you later .
Take care x
