A garden flower photo

AH! this is a basket, of which I first became acquainted in my Women's Weekly magazine. Then one day, I was out and about in the country and one of the nurseries had it! I have had it every since and every year it gets new plants from me.. aah, but now tis sooo old, it is falling apart. and they aren't sold anywhere around any longer.
It always hangs in the same spot every year and actually does great.

What is the plant in the basket - look similar to the sun jewel (portulaca).

no it isn't portulacca. it is a kind of wave petunia, but it isn't as sticky as petunia is and the flowers are suppose to be profuse and it is a very easy plant to have. It is also a plant that stands the heat well and can even take a night of frost at the end of the season.

I've seen baskets like these. I believe it's called a Cornucopia basket. Maybe you could make one :)

oh dear no. this is made of willowbranches and one has to get these rather young and then wet them, so they can be bend and then wrap the wires around them to keep it all together. and Yes you are right this is a cornucipia basket. It is made in England
