My little oasis

My little oasis

Because there is an open wrought iron opening in the backgate entrance? This is what people see. My little oasis in an environment of barreness. Cool in the heat of summer and a lovely oasis for birds and bees to come and sit and drink and rest.

AAh! That must be the urn you talked about in your notes 'about me' - lovely and can't wait to see the waterlily when it blooms.

This looks very peaceful. I would love to sit here in the cool shade during the heat of the day and sip a lovely cool drink.

Hi this is just what I want, a little oasis of calm. It looks great. I like your big chinese pot. I am hoping to get a waterlily in a pot sometime this year.

thanks kindly, everyone, for the compliments.
The wrought iron table and rattan chairs are a memory to 'old' times? I used to have a fartherliy friend, whose patio had one huge Victorian cast iron table with cosy rattanchars. That's why I have 2 sets of them. Except that one smaller table has 2 cast iron chairs with them.

This reminds me also to my youth. When there were people who had this sort of things outside or on their verandas, to sit on in the afternoons and evenings, over a cup of ice coffee or ice tea.

and as you must have guessed? am a tea totaller.. you should just see the amounts of teapots I have. sigh sigh.. nothing like a cuppa out in the back with a lovely magazine or story.

I also do my Reiki and meditative teachings here in the summertime. The sound of the clattering water, from the waterfountain/fall helps to make it ccnducive to a peaceful and spiritual area.
