As previous, including flower bed in this one.
Flower bed includes St john wort, and other plants, and shrubs.
Gets sufficient light. Could anything else be planted there?

Some good design ideas in your garden already. How about making the lawn a definite shape and not just the shape of where the flower beds aren't, if you see what I mean. This will draw the eye into the garden. The steps are a very necessary feature so make them really seem important by planting on either side or how about an archway to walk through as you go down them?
