Farm Shot 4

This photo is off the vegetable garden. The garden runs from where I am standing all the way down to the base of the trees in the background (about 55m long) and ends a little bit before the bank of the creek.

100% spot on Marguerite that is indeed Rhubarb, until recently we used to sell it at market. I'm sad to hear it's expensive up your way as it's such a brilliant plant - so very versatile for food. We also grow pumpkins (gray), potato, broad bean, climbing bean, tomato, cucumbers (apple and normal), capsicum, beetroot, garlic, peas, lettuce (a variety), asparagus, parsley, mint and corn.

Lucky you - you are obviously self-sufficient for vegtables. They are so much more delicious when you can go plot-to-plate aren't they? As a long-time vegetarian I'm pleased to be no longer regarded as slightly weird in restaurants. Used to be offered a vast choice of omlette or salad! Actually don't like soya, tofu or quorn, but my diet is very varied nevertheless.

It is very satisfactory having a supply of homegrown produce, mostly because it tends to have flavor unlike the majority of what supermarket provided produce tastes like over here.

Not actually a vegetarian myself but my partner was, it is always a relief to find a restaurant that does a decent vegetarian dish. I am inclined to think that when you find a place that does a good vegetarian menu then the cook must be a vegetarian themselves.
