A message from Bonsai (Terratoonie approved)

Hey Mom, I have a new trick
I wish that you could see
I'm flying like our Crocus
So high above the trees.

I'm feeling so much better
I run, I jump, I play
I'm meeting up with old friends
We knew along the way.

Don't weep too long, I'm happy
My soul does flips and sings
The very day I left you
I got a pair of wings.

Thanks to those who responded....I felt that we all knew Bonsai quite well through Terratoonie and I knew we would continue to become more familiar with one another's pets as well as our beloved plants. Think about it: Conker, Crocus, Blodyn, Priscilla, Chummy, Scrunchion, Lucky, Whiskey, Rags, Roxie, Summer, Meg, Chloe, Finn, Flash, Tay, Pip, Maxi, Puss, Febe, Henry, Sausage, Blanche.... and the list goes on and on....All of these guys are an integral part of our lives. Each brings their own personality to enrich the entire GoY site....Oops! almost forgot Cyril the squirrel....

I guess I am out of the loop again....Jacque, what picture or blog did I miss about the hedgehog family? I knew about one hedgehog visitor....well, Thanksgiving is coming up Thursday and I am the coordinator for the event...39 members of the family are celebrating at the lake (staying in rustic cabins just a step above tents) with different members of the family bringing different contributions to the meal...Meanwhile my brother in law died and my Mom fell and gashed her head so I am one busy person this week....will be back on GoY on Saturday as long as my Mom fares well...

Oh, my goodness. I just came across this. Tears are flowing. I lost my Rufus in July last year (08) and still miss him terribly. His picture is on my site. I LOVE your verse. I brought his ashes with me to AZ, as he died just 3 weeks before I moved and I couldn't bear to leave him behind. Canine nasal cancer is horrible to witness. He was gone in a week. I had a Native American friend hold a ceremony over him as we let him cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Hopefully your memories of his little antics and joyful activities will soon outweigh the burden of his departure...seems to happen that way as time progresses...I hope the Arizona weather is helping you (healthwise) So very different than Colorado....

I don't think I have ever heard of Canine Nasal cancer...OMG..I just realized you must have moved here in August 08....so you have experienced the heat for a bit...gets easier each year...if you miss the seasons too much, you can pick up and take a short trip North to revitalize...

I like your drawing very much! I'm sure you really have captured his personality!
