Very Panache...Is the plant huge?

they grew about 5-7feet, and were in a whiskey barrell about 3 feet off the ground....maybe 6 inches across, but produced many blooms after the initial bloom

I love this sunflower.
I am looking for a nice sunflower for my two year old grandaughter to plant this season, you cant start them soon enough.
I will look through the seed catalogues to see if it is available in the uk.
Great photos.

thanks, blueyes.
I love sunflowers and this one is beautiful..I try to grow different ones each year. This one has no seed so the head doesn't weigh down heavy.
The 'teddybear' sunflowers are similar but smaller.

I have found some. They are in the Dobbies catalogue here in the UK which is readily available. Thanks for the idea. The lack of seed and the lighter head is another bonus for me, we suffer from westerly winds flattening tall plants.

Same here, but I just love sunflowers..The flower that began my love for gardening...

What else?

See who else is growing Helianthus annuus (Sunflower).

See who else has plants in genus Helianthus.
