A stray watermelon seed has been happy here this summer. Meandering vines and tiny flowers, surely no fruit. Not time. This cosmos is starting to bud.

They were almost nonexistant. The marigolds and cosmos are from seeds. The alyssum were tiny sixpack size. This is the first year for the iris. They're supposed to bloom again. No sign of buds yet. I just added the river rock in the runoff ditch from rain gutter.

I like the rocks. They seem to give texture and shape to the area, a more finished and managed look.

Happy little watermelon. Beautiful again. The orange is marigold? I think these plants were tiny when I visited. Look great.
