Thank you to Sue,for kindly gifting me a Fuchsia, which has sentimental value, and replaced the one I lost a few years ago.She is certainly enjoying being back in my Garden. :o) x

Thank you Balc, this was the first Fuchsia I had,and was one I bought for my late mum way back in 1973/4,or thereabouts, and replanted in my own garden in 1983,till it died after a really bad winter ,not too many years ago.I didn't think to take cuttings, so I was delighted that Sue recognised the variety , and offered to send me one of hers.. Lesson learned, and I now have another cutting doing very well too.:o)

That's such a pretty one Sandra. I was gutted when I wasn't able to get a cutting from the one you gave me...was it Emperor Of Prussia? before we moved. Where do you keep this one in the winter?

Thank you Julia. I did plant this out for a couple of years, as it is a hardy one,.but last year,I decided to put it in a pot.The original died after a very hard winter,so I overwintered this one in the shed, just in case, and just covered with Fleece. It's been potted on again this year. The one I gave you was Empress of Prussia,so only the Gender was wrong Lol.xx

It is looking really lovely Sandra and i like its colour and dainty flowers. I love the story behind it, making it very special.

Thank you Shirley. Russell painted the planter for me,so it shows it off much better than the Terracotta it was before :o) One of those moments when they hear the words,'I've been thinking' ! lol.

That was very nice of Sue. When you look at it I am sure it will bring back memories of your dear Mam.

Sorry about that Sandra, but then these days gender doesn't seem to matter does it?...at least it wasn't a 'none gender'! or whatever the term is.

You have done well to take a cutting to save during the winter! πŸ‘ I often do that with many of my plants as well! In fact as the originals, for the most part, survived the winter I had a surplus of rooted cutting when it came to planting up the balcony in May! πŸ˜‚ I gave a good many to our daughter who wanted to raise a few pounds by selling them. Unfortunately the majority were Geraniums & Pelargoniums that were still small plats & most of them not yet in flower. As she couldn't sell them she planted them in her garden & now they look a great treat!
